Dr. Andrew Comly
Optometrist
Dr. Comly is an experienced optometrist born and raised in Collingwood and Wasaga Beach. After completing his undergraduate studies in Biomedical Science at the University of Waterloo he went on to receive his Doctorate of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago.
During his studies, Dr. Comly completed his externships in ocular disease at Omni Eye Specialists in New Jersey, a leading center in retinal disease, glaucoma management, and corneal degenerations. He also trained at Highline Vision Centre in Denver, Colorado which specialized in children’s vision and vision therapy.
Dr. Jessica Wong
Dr. Jessica Wong is a fantastic optometrist with a passion for patient-centered care. A native of the Greater Toronto Area, she embarked on her educational journey at the University of Waterloo, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree and her Doctorate of Optometry with honours.
During her optometric education, Dr. Wong pursued clinical externships in Alberta and Manitoba, accumulating valuable experience in the field of ocular disease management. Dr. Wong's professional interests extend to pediatrics and the effective management of dry eye conditions.
Beyond her professional pursuits, she enjoys baking, traveling the globe and spending quality time with friends and family.
Dr. Jessica Wong embodies a holistic approach to eye care, rooted in knowledge, compassion, and a commitment to enhancing her patients' visual well-being.
Dr. Darah Boesch
Dr. Darah Boesch, born and raised in Saskatchewan, has been proud to call Wasaga Beach her home since she graduated with honours from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry in 2017. During her education, she completed ocular disease externships in Salt Lake City and Kitchener, which provided her with a strong foundation for managing complex ocular conditions, including glaucoma and dry eye disease.
Through these experiences she became passionate about helping others, and had the privilege of participating on an overseas volunteer humanitarian mission to Romania. As a mom herself, she particularly enjoys working with children and families of all ages.
When she is not in the office, you can find Dr. Boesch exploring local hikes with her family, gardening or in the yoga studio. She believes that a healthy lifestyle is the key for having healthy eyes!
Dr. David Kwolek
Optometrist
Dr. David Kwolek was born and raised in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, but has called Wasaga Beach home since 2017. Dr. Kwolek graduated with honours from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry. During his studies, he completed clinical internships in Owen Sound, Sault Ste. Marie, and Waterloo, where he gained a special interest in complex contact lens fittings. He completed an ocular disease externship at the Eye Foundation in Salt Lake City, Utah, which specialized in glaucoma and dry eye disease management. In 2015, Dr. Kwolek traveled to Romania where he was part of a team of student doctors that volunteered eye care for those in need.
When he's not in the office, you can find Dr. Kwolek spending time fishing in the Georgian Triangle and exploring the region with his wife and daughter.
Dr. Jasper Wong
Dr. Jasper Wong is a dedicated optometrist, with a strong foundation in Biomedical Sciences and earned his Doctor of Optometry degree with honours. His academic journey laid the groundwork for a career marked by excellence and a genuine commitment to providing comprehensive eye care to patients of all ages.
Throughout his educational and clinical experiences, Dr. Wong's journey led him to diverse settings that broadened his knowledge and honed his skills. During external clerkships, he had the invaluable opportunity to work in rural Saskatchewan and Red Deer, Alberta. These experiences sparked his interest and expertise in the management of ocular diseases and emergencies.
Outside of his professional life, Dr. Wong has a passion for the culinary arts. He can often be found experimenting in the kitchen, concocting new and exciting recipes. He is fluent in both English and Cantonese.
